This Privacy Policy explains how TeraBoxMate ("we", "us") collects, uses and safeguards your information when you use our website and services.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you register.
- Usage data: a server-side counter of your free downloads, tied to your account or an anonymous identifier stored in a cookie.
- Payment data: we store payment records (plan, amount, status, provider order IDs). Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see or store them.
- Technical data: IP address and request metadata used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
The links you submit
We process the TeraBox links you paste solely to resolve and return a download or streaming URL. We prefer temporary direct links and do not permanently store the third-party files you download.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the service, including enforcing free-usage limits.
- To authenticate you and manage your account and premium entitlements.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send transactional emails such as verification and password resets.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (a secure, httpOnly session cookie) and for anonymous free-usage tracking. We do not use these for advertising.
Data sharing
We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the service (for example, our payment and email providers). We never sell your personal data.
Data retention & your rights
You can update or delete your account at any time from your account dashboard. Deleting your account removes your personal data; anonymized payment records may be retained for legal and accounting purposes.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, server-side authorization, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
